What do you love about your martial art?

What martial art do you take? And what do you love about your martial art? The footwork? The handwork? The moves? The rolling style? The jumps? Tell me!

What do you love about your martial art?
What I like about my martial art is that my achievement level depends fully on my strife physically and mentally.

Mine is freestyle martial art. I do not prefer to be bounded by the laws of martial art giants. Not that I hate laws. Laws are crucial, are they not?

Plus, I do not prefer to be in large group.

Strength may come in numbers but true strength comes from solitary.

Footwork? Handwork? Moves? Rolling style? Jumps?

Oh, yeah. When it comes to freestyling, it is hard to recognise your original moves. Even more, I do not spend the time to study, make and practise new moves.

I do not think I will have the time to publish books on my freestyle movements unlike the martial art giants.

I think about 70% percent of my freestyle is non-violent resistance which I think avoiding the opponent makes up most of the basis.

The remainder of my freestyle is hitting the opponent one-hit KO or two-hit or three-hit etc.

Unless I am underattack by a swarm of you know...I have to conserve the energy to overcome them.

I also prefer to use weapon.

Ultimately, it all depends on my life philosophy.

If I am a brute, what is the use of being great in fitness and finesse?

My philosophy is the law of balance. What is right is always right and what is wrong will always be wrong.

You do the maths.

Always be cool when dealing with any situation. That is what I like about my martial art.

I apologise for any mistake.

By the way, what do YOU like about your martial art?

Reply:Tae Kwon Do. What I love most is not any move or act, it%26#039;s the inner peace I get when I let my mind go while I%26#039;m practicing.
Reply:Tae Kwon do, tang soo do, Kuk sool won, I agree with the first guy. I don%26#039;t love a specific move, but the fact that it allowed me to walk down the halls of school with my head held high, knowing that I can take care of myself. It applies even more now that I have my own family, and passing that gift on to others is also a great reward. Confidence in oneself
Reply:Tao of Jeet Kune Do: Don%26#039;t play by somebody else%26#039;s rules. Fight to win.
Reply:Eskrima Serrada, a Pilipino Art using the blade. I love the smell of burning wood and fast rhythm of the sticks hitting when you spar.
Reply:I used to take Karate. What I liked most about it was that I scared the instructors so they didn%26#039;t want to spar with me.
Reply:i learn karate and the best in it is that noises you make as if you are really hitting someone (the only guy i have hit is my instructor and trust me the noise was for real this time)
